Oh, man! My weekly Nutrisystem update is super late this week. I took my weekly weigh-in picture a couple days ago but with 2 boys sick at home and then I couldn’t stop watching all the coverage of the tragedy in Boston…not much got done this week.
This week, I have really focused on getting my water in every day and eating healthy snacks. My favorite snacks still continue to be Chobani Non-Fat Greek Yogurt (I love the lemon, pear & pomegranate), string cheese and fruit.
One of the most helpful thing is I created a group with a few of my wonderful friends that are losing weight too. It’s so nice to be able to share things with people that truly understand what it’s like to have a bad week or what it feels like to see the number on the scale that you wanted.
Starting Weight: 241.8
Week 1 Weight: 236.3 Loss: 5.5
Week 2 Weight: 234.4 Loss: 1.9
Week 3 Weight 232.8 Loss: 1.6
Week 4 Weight 232.8 Loss: 0
Week 5 Weight 231 Loss: 1.8
Total Loss: 10.8 lb
So, my goal this week is pretty much the same as last week *sigh*. I have got to get going on exercise. My goal by next weekend is to try 3 different things/exercise and see what I like. I even downloaded the C25k app to get my started in running again. I need to get some new running shoes & get my butt out there!

10lbs. That is great. Keep up the good work. I know it is super hard. I have been doing WW since Jan and lost 15. Exercize is easier said than done. My goal next week is to get some Wii time in. That is fun.
Tara says
Thank you Susan! The wii is definitely something I am going to use this week!

I totally understand what you are going through. I have struggled with weight my whole life. You are doing such a great job. Keep up the good work. P.s. I love Chobani too!
Tara says
Thanks so much, Tabitha! I’m eating Chobani as I type this LOL

Congratulations on making the 10 pound mark! I have been on WW for a few weeks but haven’t lost any weight. I need to exercise but am unable to at this time due to a major surgery. I should have waited to try to lose weight until I could move around because it is defeating not to lose any weight. It sounds like Nutrisystem is working great for you. I look forward to reading you future successes.
Tara says
Thanks so much, Melinda! Keep working at WW, it’s worth it! I hope your recovery from your surgery goes smoothly!

Wonderful job in your journey to lose weight. I am also battling the battle of the bulge and struggle with it daily.
Tara says
Thank you, Maria! I completely understand what you mean! I struggle daily too!

Remember when you add exercise to your diet routine that you will gain weight, but that is just muscle weight and eventually the weight will go down as you lose fat in your body. So bare with it and do not give up. the exercise will help and you will also start to feel more energetic. Keep up the good work you are doing and don’t get frustrated you are doing great.
Tara says
Thank you so much, Cindy 🙂

10 pounds in 5 weeks is awesome! And so much more maintainable tham faster weight loss, I’ve been told. Keep up the great work, and do get outside more often – not because of the weight loss but because of all the other benfits of being outside.
Jess says
Great job!! 🙂

I most important factor is doing a sport on a daily basis, 7 days a week, you can even get away with eating good after you reach your goal, it has to be daily and for hours.
