While we are a homeschooling family, this year my 8th grader and 2nd grader will be going to a charter school two days a week. That’ll give them a chance to meet new people, learn from teachers in a different way than I would teach & I’ll also be able to work from home on those two days. One of the big adjustments will be packing a lunch for the two of them so they can take it to school.
We’ve come up with a list of foods that each of the kids like and they’ve already vowed to help make parts of their lunch every day. One thing that I have promised myself is that at least once a week, I will do something special and pack it in their lunch. Whether it’s a special, sugary treat or a printable note in their lunch, I want them both to know that I am thinking about them during the day and that I miss them.
Coupons.com’s The Good Stuff online magazine has printable bookmarks and lunch notes that can be a great surprise for your kids in their lunches. There are so many fun styles and colors to choose from, your kids will love them! While, you’re there, you can also learn about ways to save money, recipes, household organization tips and much more!
