With Summer coming to an end soon (how did that happen so fast?!) and school starting, our family has a couple small road trips planned that we’re excited about. We’ve got everything planned for trips, right down to whose phone we’ll be using to plan the route and look up restaurants & attractions along the way. We always use my phone because my cell phone carrier is Walmart Family Mobile. Why do we need to use my phone & service? Because my plan has unlimited Talk, Text, & Data which includes up to 15GB of 4G LTE † then 2G*, all for just $49.88 a month.
The $49.88 PLUS Plan from Walmart Family Mobile is on T-Mobile’s nationwide 4G LTE† network. I love this plan because it’s easier than ever to use, there’s no contract and no hidden fees. You know your monthly service plan price ahead of time so there’s never a surprise when you open your bill each month. Have a phone already? No problem, bring it with you. Need a phone? There’s a lot to choose from with Walmart Family Mobile. There’s also no activation fees and no late charges, meaning you’ll be saving money. That’s a WIN for me!
Plus, each month, I receive a free VUDU◊ movie rental credit (valued at $7) with my plan. That’s a great savings because our family can watch the newest rental each and every month for free! Saving money and spending time together as a family is what it’s all about!
The only thing slowing us down lately has been my cell phone itself. It shuts off whenever it feels like it, doesn’t fully charge and just seems to have a mind of it’s own. Since we don’t want to hassle with the phone on our trips, we headed to our local Walmart to find a new phone for me. I have to admit that when it comes to cell phones, I am cheap. I don’t want to spend several hundred dollars on a phone. I love that Walmart has so many choices to choose from and a lot of them are under $100. Since I have had good luck with Samsung, I chose the Samsung J3 phone, which is new to Walmart Family Mobile. Now that I have a reliable phone AND reliable coverage, we are set for our trips!
On our road trips, we loving using the Waze app to navigate the way. If you’re not careful, an app like that can really use up your data fast. But, with my plan, I never have to worry about that! We just plug in the address we’re heading to and we’re off!
We also love using Yelp along the way to check out the best restaurants and attractions in the area. Looking through pictures of food can use a ton of data too but with my$49.88 PLUS Plan it’s ok because I have unlimited data!
