We are big LEGO® lovers here in my house. It’s not uncommon to find our 5 year old playing with LEGOs alone or with my husband (even at 45 years old, he still loves LEGOs!) When I saw that LEGO® had a place online to create a LEGO Minifigure Family holiday card, I headed right over!
With the holiday cards, you can add up to 13 family members & even your cats and dogs. Each member can be customized to match their own skin tone (or you can stay yellow, just like the LEGO guys come!), facial expressions, shirts, pants, hair or hats.
Creating your own Minifigure family is actually really easy to do. First, you add a person by choosing either an adult, a child or a baby (they come in a LEGO stroller! So cute!). You can add your name or the name of your family member, then click Customize Me. In the Head section, you can choose skin tone, facial expression & choose either a hat or a hairdo. Click on Torso to choose from 50 different shirts or costumes. Then, you can click on Leg to choose your LEGO® person’s pants.
Once you get all your people made, you can re-position them on the holiday card & choose a different scene to place them in, too (click on Set The Scene on the North Pole). When you have that all set, you can also click on the holiday greeting in the top left & customize towards your family or the holiday your family celebrates.
You can even share the holiday card by clicking on Share It. This allows you to download the card, get the link to your card to send to people or you can email it to yourself or others. You also have the option to leave your family names on the card, or you can take them off, as well.
I loved that this was fun enough for me to play around with the LEGO® minifigures, but that it was also easy enough to use that my 5 year old had a lot of fun playing around with it on his own. Make sure to head on over & make your own LEGO Minifigure Family!
