Today, Dinah from DIY Inspired shares with us how she and her daughter felt about the H2OGO! Backyard Water Slide by Bestway. You can find out even more about the different sizes of slides by visiting their site.
My daughter and her friends were lucky enough to test out the Triple H2OGO! Backyard Water Slide by Bestway. When we first received the slider in the mail, my daughter immediately wanted to try it out. I told her that we would arrange a special H2OGO! play date with her friends from school. She couldn’t wait! She even marked the special date on her calendar.
When the day arrived, I had an excited party of five squealing five year olds. It was a gorgeous day in sunny SoCal, so the weather was perfect. The package came with one triple slide, 2 hose nozzle connectors, and one repair patch. When I unpacked the slide it was a lot larger than I anticipated which was fantastic. Looking at the size, I was certain that I needed the help of the air compressor to blow up the speed ramp. After all, these kids weren’t about to wait a minute longer for me to blow it up manually.
After a few minutes, the speed ramp was inflated successfully. I took out the instructions to see where to put the hose. The package came with 2 hose nozzle connectors which was little confusing for me. The way it was packaged it looked like they connected together. Because of this, it took me and another Mom a while to figure out how to connect the hose to the slide. The instructions did not mention anything about the difference between the two nozzles. We finally figured out that we only needed the larger one. The instructions were also unclear as to which opening the hose should connect to.
As I turned on the hose it was immediately followed by some screams and giggles of excitement. The kids had a blast playing on it and around it. It was great because three of them could go at once. Not only did they slide, but they also played at the end in the sprinklers and rested in the sun on the speed ramp. They even took a break after a while and ate a popsicle while lounging on the inflated ramp. Since they were all small, it was the perfect lounging spot for them.
I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family. I think it would be a blast, especially for older kids. I would recommend not turning the water to the full setting, and keeping the water flow minimal for conservation purposes. Overall, the H2OGO! is a great product that our family looks forward to using many times this summer.
