How many different types of canned foods do you buy? Did you know that you can buy a lot of those same foods in cartons? Tetra Pak® makes cartons of our favorite pantry staples that allow us to start living smart.
Tetra Pak cartons are made of 70% paper (a renewable resource) from selectively harvested, re-grown trees that are FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council). Their cartons also use 1/3 the packaging that cans use. Plus, it’s much easier to stack cans in a pantry than cans, making it much easier to keep your pantry neat!
With the Tetra Pak® cartons, the unique packaging process preserves the flavor and nutrients of food without the use of preservatives, which is so much healthier for us. Each of the cartons are recyclable, result in 60% less landfill waste than cans & you’re able to close the cartons and only use what you need, saving the rest for later.
For Thanksgiving, I opened up a carton of Pacific Foods Organic Jellied Cranberry Sauce. I am a cranberry fanatic. I know that sounds weird, but it’s true! I don’t know of a ton of people that love canned cranberries but I’m always secretly happy that no one in my family really likes them either because then I get it all to myself. I can honestly say that the carton of Pacific Foods Organic Jellied Cranberry Sauce was the best cranberry sauce I had ever had. It tasted completely fresh and so tasty! I will definitely be switching out my canned cranberry for the Tetra Pak® carton from now on.
How can you be #cartonsmart this holiday season? What recipe would you make, using one of the Tetra Pak® cartons?
