My older two kids share a room and what makes it hard is that one is a boy (15) and the other is a girl (11). We didn’t think they’d be sharing a room for this long but it it what is and we’ve learned to live with it. One thing that makes it bearable is we try to let them decorate their own spaces with things that they like. My daughter (11) isn’t really a girly girl but her old bedding sort of was on the girly-girl side. As she is getting closer & closer to her teen years, her tastes have changed and she’s much more into choosing her own bedding, clothes, shoes, etc.
Now that it was time to let her have more of a say in decorating her space, we had to find some bedding that fit her style and our budget. We wanted fun, young & colorful and we certainly found it! 9 by Novogratz is a new bed & bath line, found at Walmart.com & designed exclusively for Walmart. Ashlyn chose the Kaleidoscope Bed-in-a-Bag. This set features everything you need to make a bed personal, inviting and fun. Inside the Bed-in-a-Bag, we received a comforter (a gray kaleidoscope pattern on the front with a beautiful teal color on the other side), flat sheet, fitted sheet, regular pillow case, pillow sham and decorative pillow. What’s really great about this bedding sheet is that while it all matches and comes together nicely, it’s not all the exact same pattern and color. It looks like we actually picked each piece ourselves instead of a bedding set that all comes together.
Ashlyn absolutely loves how her bedding came together and is excited to start decorating her area even more. The colors of the bedding are beautiful and while they are perfect for her now, they are also perfect for someone older as well. Plus, at $69.97 for the entire twin Bed-in-a-Bag, it’s well within our budget so it’s a win-win for both of us!
The Novogratz family is known for bringing together great fun, functional and colorful designs. I’ve been watching them on HGTV’s “Home by Novogratz” and “9 by Design” before that. I always love watching their shows not only for the fun they bring into their clients (and their own) homes but also because they are a family with 7 kids (hence the “9” in the title of the show and the bed & bath line). Their kids are a huge part of the show and you can tell that Bob & Cortney, the parents, are wonderful parents, along with being great designers.
When you head over to Walmart.com to check out all of the great bedding sets from 9 by Novogratz, you’ll find bedding sets that are fun, colorful and different from other things out there. But, they are also priced so you won’t be breaking the bank to bring a new look to your bedroom! Which one do you love the most? Besides the Kaleidoscope set that my daughter chose, I also love the Sweet Dreams set!
