Upcycling Overview
For those of you unfamiliar, upcycling is the process of creatively reusing stuff that would otherwise be thrown out. It’s a time-honored tradition for crafters and artists to make items of higher quality or value. There are endless possibilities including making furniture, homewares, patchwork quilts and so much more.
Note that upcycling is not the same as recycling, which involves the destruction of waste through processes like melting in order to make something new. Both processes have environmental benefits, but today we’re focusing on upcycling.
